Hey guys, I’m back again! I know right? Twice in the same week!
Alright so today I’m making my usual post that contains Flash animations. This time I decided to post two animations because I couldn’t decide which I liked better and also why not.
First up we have “League of Legends – Jax vs Garen”, it’s a 2D simplified stickfigure version of League of Legends characters pitted against each other in a really cool battle.
Secondly we have “Tag Team”, really it’s a 1 v 100 animation with some awesome effects and really cool moves. Both of these animations were created by “FranLoL”
Alright, lets get to the first one:
I absolutely loved this one, it seriously makes me want to replicated the majority of it in Stick Nodes, it’s just too bad I have a lot on at the moment or I definitely would be doing that right now.
The weapon graphics and sound effects are amazing, all the yelling that he used from the actual game, great stuff. The funny banter between them as text across the screen was a nice touch. I also really liked the visual effects on the high-powered moves.
Alright next up is Tag Team:
I really liked the use of visual effects in this animation too, he did a great job and I especially like the ‘sonic boom’ looking blasts and the electricity strikes done by Ryder. I also loved the awesome use of the staff in the first half of the animation, it’s such a simple weapon to have in a 2D animation, but comes out looking amazing when done properly.
The fighting combos used in the animation at the beginning were really well executed and looked so great. I recommend you have a go at making an animation similar to this one, and try the staff out, I think you’ll find it’s a great way to improve a fighting animation while allowing your character to not have to get right up to the other guy to take a swing at them, and as demonstrated, you could throw the staff at them while you run up to the other character, giving you time to prepare your next animated movement.
Alright all, that’s it for me for today, I hope you liked this post and you can look forward to my next one some time this later week, it will be the second installment of the Weekly Best of Stick Nodes Animations.
If you liked the post it’d be cool to see you down in the comments, maybe even share it on your Twitter page or something if you really enjoyed it perhaps idk. Okay, see you next time!
